MONITOR LINE-UP

 

Set Black Level Step 1:

Increase the brightness control until you see two black stripes on the Pluge Pattern below.
The stripe on the left is "Below Black", the stripe on the right is "Video Black". If the below black stripe is not visible the go to step 2:

Decrease the brightness control until the "Below Black" stripe matches the black background in level.
The "Video Black should still visible.
Adjust the contrast control until the top white square is white.


Set Black Level Step 2:

This adjustment is only needed if the "Below Black" stripe on the left is not visible on your monitor.


Decrease the Contrast control until the "Video Black" stripe disappears, then gradually increase the Brightness control until the stripe becomes visible above the background.  Stop at that point.
Adjust the contrast control until the top white square is white.

Colour Balance

The large bars should be Grey, Yellow, Cyan, Green, Magenta, Red, and Blue.
The transition from one bar to another should be sharp with no colour bleeding.
