HOME THEATRE

There are many of us who would love to watch a movie at home with the same picture and sound quality we currently experience at the cinema, and would like to make it a reality.  Following the introduction of the Digital Versatile Disc this is now achievable.  With the picture and sound quality of the Digital Versatile Disc, all of us who love movies can watch them at home in Widescreen and surround sound as found in the cinemas.  Home Theatre is the integration of a Television or Video Projector, with a Hi-Fi Audio System.

So what do you want in your Home Theatre System?

There are a number of essential components required:

  • Standard Television, Widescreen Television or Projector

To take full advantage of the introduction of Digital Television, and DVD movies with the 16:9 Enhanced mode, a WIDECSREEN is required.

  • Amplifier, DVD Player, Hi-Fi VCR, or D-VHS, Digital Television
The Audio Visual (AV) Amplifier is the heart of the system. It requires a minimum of four video inputs for DVD, Hi-Fi VCR, D-VHS and Digital Television. Your system should also provide a Dolby Digital Decoder, a DTS Decoder, CD, AM-FM Turner, Tape Inputs and 5 Speaker Outputs. When purchasing a system it is a good idea to plan for the future by allowing for Digital Television and the next generation of D-VHS digital video recorders.
  • Options:

Many optional controls can be added to the Home Theatre, such as Infrared systems, automatic light control, motorised screens and curtains.
